Founder
 
The institute was established with full extensive support of Shri Kaushal Kumar, I.A.S. and Lt. Shri Kuldeep Singh Gujral. Our chief patron Shri Kaushal Kumar held various important posts in the government sector and retired from his services from Central Administrative Tribunal. Our past Chairman Lt. Shri Kuldeep Singh Gujral was an active politician and held at various important posts in Delhi Municipal Corporation for more than two decades.
  The Beginning

The institute was established in the year 1994, in an remote rural area of Delhi to provide the medical assistance for the health of the general public, which was lacking behind in the area, specially in the field of eye & dental care through free Medical check- ups, operating Cataracts, Intra-Ocular Lens Implantation by latest technique (Phaco-Emulsifier), YAG Laser facilities, perimetry etc.


We are working with the government in achieving goals for health through its various health programmes like "Pulse Polio Immunization Programme". During each drive more than 3500 childrens are given polio drops.


We are dedicated to uplift the rural persons in the society by providing them education above school and below school level and to create general awareness towards health specially that in an old age.

Developments

In the past in 2006, Shri Brahm Singh Tanwar, Ex-MLA inaugurated new Out Patient Door Block and added Auto- Perimeter to the present Ophthalmic department in presence of our valued donors Mrs. Nirmal Mittal and Mr.C.D.Mittal (M/S Nirmal Manufacturing and Marketing Company).


Mrs.& Mr.Mittal always came forward to donate generously for a good cause to help the poor from time to time.They helped in establishing Dental Department and furnishing of the teaching blocks.


Apart from the above many of our valued donors contributed towards installation of YAG laser, Phaco-Emulsification and Auto-Perimetry in Ophthalmic department.

 

Other regular valued donors includes Mrs. Rita Minocha, Shri Keshwanand Ji, Shri Anil Dutt Tiwari (M/S G.D. Tiwari and Co.), Shri K.L.Khater, Shri Amit Jain, Shri B.B.Gupta and Shri Ajay Gupta. We are always thankful to all of them for their continuous support.
The governing body of the Institute comprises of eminent personalities from diversified fields which regularly guides the management committee for its proper and smooth functioning.


We are committed to accord quality education in the para medical field and are known for it. We are working as a team of dedicated workers to provide best education at affordable fees for every sector of the society.

  Status
The institute is a registered society registered under societies registration Act XXI of 1860.
  Objectives

The main objectives for which the institute had been leading since its inception are
-- To organize, conduct short and long term training courses and programmes in para-medical and related fields.
-- To raise education standards in the country in the para medical and related fields.
-- To conduct research activities, award, scholarship, prizes, award certificates or diploma.
-- To provide compassionate and high quality eye care, medical facilities in Pathological laboratory, Dental and Medical at an affordable cost to all sectors of the society, rural and urban through its Rural Hospital, viz.
(a) Daily Subsidized OPD Consultation by the physician and Gynae. Consultants.
(b) Daily Subsidized Dental care Check-Up.
(c) Daily Subsidized Eye Specialist clinic .
(d) Eye Operations -Free Cataract and other eye surgeries.
(e) Subsidized Intra-Ocular Lens Implantation including Phaco-Emulsification.

(f) Subsidized Pathological & various laboratory Investigations.
(g) Subsidized Ultrasonography, X-Ray and ECG facilities.
(h) Subsidized lens & Frame making.
(i) Subsidized YAG Laser facilities.
(j) Subsidized Perimetry facilities.
(k) Synoptophore and Biometry facilities.
(l) Subsidized physiotherapy exercises and consultation.
(m) To keep the fee structure of all the courses conducted by the institute as nominal, to help each sector of the society.
(n) To provide financial relief to poor and needy students such as fee concessions/exemptions or concessions in Hostel Charges, etc.

Recognition

*The Institute is recognized by State Govt . of Nagaland, vide their letter No. MED/MISC - 4 / 95 dated 31/10/1995 and was renewed on dated 13th December 2005. The diploma holders are eligible for registration of their names in Employment Exchanges according to the answer to USQ. No. 3675 dated 22/12/98, in Lok Sabha by Minister of Labour, Government of India for the purpose of employment in various Government / Non-Governmental organizations.

 

From the current session Two candidates will be taught free in all the courses forwarded through Ministry of Health and Family Welfare/Directorate of Medical Services, Government of Nagaland, Kohima. No Tuition Fees will be charged from them. But, they have to pay the Hostel and Mess Charges of the institute. (For FREE seat forwarding / recommendation letter will be required in original from the above said department at the time of admission duly forwarded through the Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of Nagaland, Kohima).


# The Institute is recognized by State Government of Jammu & Kashmir, vide Govt. order No. 233 H&ME of 2003 dated 20/03/2003 and Govt. order No. 531-HME of 2007 dated 08/08/2007. Five candidates will be taught free in all the courses forwarded through Department of Health & Medical Education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir, Jammu/Srinagar. No Tuition Fees will be charged from them. But, they have to pay the Hostel and Mess Charges of the institute. (For FREE seat forwarding / recommendation letter will be required in original from the above said department at the time of admission).


Diploma in Dental Assistant is not recognized by Dental Council of India in any manner nor its registration is carried out at the aforesaid council. This course is for the assistance of the doctors only.
